Summer is in full swing at the Voth household, and with the passing of allergy season, all boys finally seem to be well. Some noses are still a little runny (Mr. Blake), but the ailments of asthma seem to have passed.
Our sweet Andrew has been off oxygen for about 10 days now. This is the longest stretch of time since him being in the hospital. What a difference this has made in his little life. He is perky, happy, napping (in his own bed - finally!) and really taking off developmentally. We had called in for physical therapy to start, and he had his evaluation today. The therapist placed him at a 6 month developmental level, and he will be 6 months on Thursday, so there is no need for him to have therapy now! Yeah! Way to go Andrew! He showed off for the therapist, sitting (assisted) in her lap, holding his head, rolling over, grabbing toys, etc. So, she will be on-call if we need her, but no new therapy for the summer. She gave us some new exercises for him to help build strength in this torso (where his muscle tone is the worst) but was very pleased with where he was.
Thank you friends for your prayers for our precious child. Since our Sunday School class had started praying for his oxygen needs, he has not needed any. Isn't God good?
