Happy Birthday Blake & Brantley!

It is hard to believe that the B's turned two yesterday! In typical non-first child fashion, they did not have a huge birthday party. Their Mimi & Poppy showed up with cupcakes, candles and party blowers. One round of Happy Birthday, two blow-outs of the candles, a few laps around the house with party blowers, and the festivities were complete. We have pictures of them blowing out their candles for their baby books. The party was deemed a huge success by parents and grandparents, and everyone went to bed.

Blake was able to figure out how to make the paper part of his party blower go out. He exclaimed, "I got it!" Brantley was convinced that his party blower was broken, and kept trying to steal Blake's. They are so different and so wonderful. They are both "all boy" in such different ways. Blake loves anything sports and tough, but loves his doggies (stuffed, of course). Brantley loves markers, pens, and puzzles. They both are currently fascinated by all trucks. The only problem is Blake cannot say the word, "truck" so it sounds like he is wandering around the house cussing. Brantley is very articulate and can say any word he wants to. They both love their "big J", and love to wear his t-shirts that hand past their knees. They both tolerate Andrew, are very protective of him, hate to hear him cry, but really only say, "hi baby" and move on with their days.

So far, we are all surviving toddler-hood, but there are days that we wonder if we will. It truly is hard to believe that they are two, but even harder to believe that we have another baby around the house. Sometimes Jeff and I look at each other and say, "what happened?". We are sure to be having the time of our lives (as other people tell us), but some days we are not so sure. :)

On the health front, Andrew is improving. Blake & Brantley had to start antibiotics for sinus infections. Jeffrey is still hanging tough. (this gives me hope that the others will out-grow this stuff.)

I'll post some pictures later, but Mr. I Am Still SOOOOO Rotton is requesting to be rocked, so I am off to enjoy my littlest while the birthday boys sleep.
